Some years ago we spent a day at the Butlin's resort at Bognor Regis, it being handy to the beach and promenade friendly hotel we were staying in. Not to mention the excellent 'Lobster Pot' next door, excellent enough that it doesn't need to bother with a website. See reference 1.
Butlin's however, do do both website and computers and they send me emails from time to time suggesting that we return. Today was a such a day and I was curious about why they were bothering with emails at all. How do they propose to socially distance their offering, with their resorts being built with herding in mind? Was it just an oversight, with the present panic not having percolated through to the relevant part of their IT operation?
The answer seems to be that they are offering quality pandemic protection for any holiday you might book with them. It would be interesting to learn about their booking profile through this year, but I don't suppose I ever will.
