Almost a crisis

Stocks of brick dates getting low, I trekked down to Grape Tree in the Ashley Centre this morning to stock up - Grape Tree being the only place in town which stocks this staple snack and baking accessory.

Alarmed on entering the shop because they were not in their usual place and a quick scan did not reveal them. I got there eventually, the difficulty being that their shelf space had been cut down from five bricks wide to two bricks, which meant that I had been looking for the wrong sized blue and orange patch.

Got five packs just to be on the safe side and we can now move on to to baking our apples for lunch - with date stuffing being far superior for these purposes than the fall-back, raisins.
