Series 1, episode II

Having got into a bit of a mess the day before, Yuri and his friends decided that they did not want porridge for breakfast again. What they really wanted was spaghetti, with grilled and grated, hickory smoked, back bacon on top, with best before December 2023 being thought to be a good year.

To this end, they investigated the spaghetti jar, left out next to the bread board for one reason or another. They got to the top alright but unfortunately Polly, despite having a good look through the keyhole in the lid, couldn't see how to get in.

While Baby Bear was having trouble with standing up, and had to sit this one out on top of the honey pot.

In the end they all had to settle for portions of left-over, baked custard with nutmeg on top. It's a bad business when you can't take charge of your own life, your own diet - even when it was the first custard baked at this address for many a year.

PS: honey ordinaire from Sainsbury's is a lot cheaper than the honey which is made in our very own road. Cute but dear - and packaging aside, I am not sure that I can tell the difference when used to sweeten hot lemon.
