Patchy

The curiously patchy state responses in the US. One can understand the wide open spaces of the Dakotas, but what about Pennsylvania, with its long border with New York State, far and away the worse hit state?

The urban rural divide is clearly not the whole story. So what about correlation with party affiliation? Something to be looked at with care when the dust has settled.

With thanks to John Hopkins University (reference 1) and the FT. With the former being something called a private research university, located in Baltimore, Maryland. With the standards town to the west, Gaithersburg, being the closest that I ever came, apart that is, from vicarious presence through the odd episode of 'The Wire'.
