Trainer time

I thought this morning that my trainers were showing signs of back-end wear and it was time to visit Cotswold's again, for my next pair of size 12 (UK) Moab 2 ventilator shoes (Pecan). Purchase accomplished in fairly short order, price unchanged and delivery free. Maybe this coming weekend. Also accompanied by an advertisement for these very same shoes turning up at the top of the promotions tab in my g-mail-box just seconds later. Coincidence?

These shoes have done pretty well, it being getting on a for a year since I bought them. Maybe breaking them in slowly helped.

I have been buying them since the occasion noticed at reference 3, getting on for ten years ago now, so at two pairs a year, give or take the odd lapse, it must be well over a dozen pairs - including one, perhaps two freebies, the result of moaning about their wearing out in under six months. Clearly a good shoe with steady sales, as they have been selling the identical shoe with more or less the same name for the whole time. Even if Merrell themselves have been swallowed up by someone or other.
