Captured in St. Luke's church in Chelsea, about which I shall have more to say in due course.
My first piano from Ibach, of whom I had not previously heard. One English dealer claimed they went out of production in 2007, but their website at reference 1 seems to be alive and well.
Another English dealer explained at reference 2 that it was an old family firm, started in 1794 and that they are now in their sixth generation, one of the oldest piano manufacturers still in production today, and they are currently based in Düsseldorf. Respectable pianos, apparently used by the likes of Brahms, Strauss, Wagner and Schönberg.
Most of the ones in England were made around the end of the 19th or the beginning of the 20th centuries. A bequest from a musical parishioner?
