Foiled

For a change, a bottle of 2016 Gewürztraminer yesterday evening, from Paul Blanck, via Waitrose. A wine we drank a bit of a few years back, but have not taken much of recently. Very nice it was too, if a little sweet to be drinking every day.

The archive admits to no 'Blanck', but it was probably the Gewürztraminer mentioned in February, 2014 at reference 1. After which we branched out to getting the stuff from places like Hedonism for a bit, something else we not taken much of recently.

Particularly mentioned today for the fierce foil protecting the wine from use, foil which is a lot thicker than you might at first think and which doubles as the cap. I was reduced to using my Fremch oyster knife for getting it off, although I dare say there was a better way. Bought, as it happens, about a year later but I don't recall there being any connection. See reference 2.
