Brought to my attention by yesterday's Guardian, part of the 'Pearl River' series by Christian Lutz. A clothes show inside a casino in Macau, a place which has apparently overtaken Las Vegas as the gambling capital of the world. A place with the same sort of status within China as Hong Kong.
BH thought that the model in red looked very unhappy with her lot, despite being a volunteer.
As it happens, the only time that I have come across this sort of fakery for real, was in the Caesar's Palace hotel in Las Vegas, maybe 25 years ago now. In the context, as always, of very important business meetings.
