A Waitrose trolley, captured just beyond the creationists den, outside the building of W.S Atkins, once proud and independent engineers, now owned by the Canadian company at reference 1. Perhaps the fact that the founder, Sir W. Atkins, only had daughters meant that the family firm format died with him.
Was it some junior staff wheeling up some booze from the Waitrose in town for a Friday afternoon Christmas bash? Or some junior staff from the next door leisure centre, once one of the many municipal swimming pools built in the middle part of the last century - which we more or less stopped using when it was remodelled.
In any event, with four score trolleys under my belt, one no-score trolley and a basket, I thought I ought to call it a day. Mindful of the former head of the Glynn School who became well known for patrolling the grounds of his school with a litter picker.
Will I make the 200 for Christmas? As it happens, we have an excellent opportunity to celebrate in town on the 23rd.
PS: the speck of green noticed at reference 2 is now a lot bigger and looking quite promising. Further report in due course.
