Stop press

Regarding the dearth of Bells whisky reported at reference 1, I can now report that the stuff is sold at Waitrose. Where they don't seem to do either Teachers or regular Jameson - although I can buy fancy Jameson in a box, at twice the regular price.

And I have learned that their excellent cherries come from Greece. So some food is getting here from the European Union.

And as busy this morning as I remember the place since before the plague. I actually had to wait for a self-checkout to be available.

On the other hand, Grape Tree have run out of dried figs, despite what it says on their website, snapped above, so maybe there is a problem with next door Turkey. Tried but not very keen on the semi-soft, of which they did have a couple of packets. Made up with brick dates from Cullompton.

But there was more good news, this time from Boots. Needing a new seven day pill box, I popped in to see what I could do. Rather to my surprise, they had the very same model that I bought last time, quite a few years ago now. Made in China under the brand 'Safe & Sound' for Murrays, the people at Southampton and reference 4. No doubt handy for a container terminal. A result, from which I associate to the Houellebecq of reference 2. With reference 3 in case you need reminding who he is.
