Graphic time

This being the early July version of my favourite plague graphic from the FT. Well down from the May peak now, with China and the other rich countries doing well, at least as far as deaths are concerned. While India seems to have got deaths under control and Latin America has not. So there is still plenty of virus around the world and plenty of scope for mutations to pop out.

Parochially, here in the UK, perhaps the focus is shifting from deaths to numbers of infections and numbers of hospital admissions. Will the system cope with the wave of sick leave and the wave of admissions expected to follow the forthcoming wave of unprotected young people hitting pubs, clubs and football matches? What chance of getting my big toe fixed any time soon?
