Curious

Our fat leader drapes his viral irresponsibility in the cloak of private responsibility, so much to be preferred to the rule of law, to public responsibility.

A penchant which does not sit well with the long Tory battle against freedom and responsibility for the Indians and the Irish. Amongst others.

Nor with their penchant for punitive criminal sanctions against those who chose to use recreational drugs - other than those sanctioned by habit and big business - that is to say alcohol, tobacco and coffee. Nor with that for opposing end of life choice - which one might have thought was something which was very much a private responsibility. Possibly a matter in which family has an interest, but certainly not the public at large.

PS 1: one wonders whether the chap who prepared the picture of Ecstasy included above, otherwise MDMA, provided by Wikipedia, had ever used the stuff himself. A drug which I remember as being the subject of both massive private use and massive public overreaction in the 1980's.

PS 2: incidentally, it seems improbable to me that our fat leader would be unacquainted with recreational drugs. Maybe not a user, but probably not a lifetime abstainer either. Mrs. May, his predecessor, maybe.
