Philip Morris, having started up in Bond Street in 1847 and having successfully peddled lung cancer around the world for more than 170 years, is now being rebranded as the health and well-being company of the 21st century.
It seems that it can leverage its investment in inhaling tobacco into inhaling medicine, otherwise 'respiratory drug delivery'. Which, as a mildly needle-phobic person I am all for: if I can inhale the necessary, rather than having it stuck into me, so much the better.
PS 1: is there an anaesthetic angle here, with a lot of anaesthetic being inhaled rather than stuck in?
PS 2: second thoughts. I may not be keen on needles, but thinking about it now, having a mask put on my face and being invited to breathe does not sound too clever either. Not something that I have ever tried, at least not while awake - although I believe that my elder brother was all for nitrous oxide through a mask rather than cocaine through a needle. Would travel a long way to find a dentist who would oblige.
PS 3: third thoughts. Maybe this is the whole point. Maybe Morris will be offering sucking on a toastie as a user-friendly alternative to the mask?
