Complacent

Regarding the shooting in Atlanta.

Lest we get too complacent about how well we do things over here, a reminder that we still have no proper account of the shooting by the police of a man in Huddersfield in January 2017, well over three years ago now. Someone more cynical than I might draw the conclusion that it is all being dragged out until it gets lost in the long grass, a phrase people were fond of in my time at the Treasury.
