Regular readers will have noticed that I have taken to noticing notable yew trees we happen to come across - or even seek out. See, for example, reference 3.
This morning I learn from the Woodland Trust via the DT via Microsoft News via Microsoft Edge that we missed an opportunity last week, with this fine specimen being within a few miles of where we were staying in Bognor Regis. A tweet which was within our grasp, had we only known it was there.
Maybe I will download the short list of contenders for this year's tree of the year award, giving us the new quest of visiting all those within sensible range.
