Captured in the church of St. Mary's, Pixham, just outside Dorking. In the course of a heritage outing to be reported on in due course.
An upright piano from Monington & Weston of London, a first. Nice bit of figuring to the oak on the underside of the cover. I would have thought not veneer, although I did not think to check.
Not much from Bing on this maker, but he did turn up, from a seller up north about a baby grand: 'a warm, mellow tone from this very well-respected London maker'. While Google turned up another seller who had had a mahogany one going for just under £1,500.
