Piano 23

Snapped in the ancient church at Yapton, in the margins of our visit there. Otherwise, the church of St. Mary, as noted in the previous post, a dedication which seems to be common in this part of Sussex. To be noticed properly in due course.

A Steinmayer upright, a first, with Steinmayer being a company which now gets its pianos from the Peking Piano Company, a company founded in the year of my birth and now the second largest in the Peoples' Republic. See references 2 and 3.

Gifted in memory of a parishioner who died in 2012.

PS: I shall have to take advice on how to stop snaps of this sort, of highly polished objects, becoming selfies.

Reference 2: http://en.xhpiano.com/. The site creaks a bit on this laptop, but I think it says they made the piano for the Great Hall of the People, definitely a prestige customer.
