I had been thinking about capturing the large trolley in the Hook Road end of Longmead Road stream for some weeks now, possibly even a month or more. And yesterday there was a window of opportunity.

One of the many jobs which is much easier with two than one; a two minute job rather than an awkward five minute job.

Important stickers |
In the end, I decided that it was worth getting the hose out. So hose on low and brush from a dustpan & brush did the business. A trolley which had clearly seen better days, with the once shiny metal work - stainless steel? - having taken some damage from the elements.
No idea what the stickers are about. The word 'VAN'. What looks like a telephone number. Clock face around the outside. And this trolley looks to have at least four of them in the course of its life. But I can't dream up a scenario which requires stickers of this sort.
Returned to Sainsbury's this morning, where I found it was in the lower half of respectability. I suppose that there is a Sainsbury's trolley inspection department which weeds the older ones out from time to time; perhaps to be sent back to the maker, Wanzl, to be brought back to an as-new appearance.
