At 0830, Saturday, 21st December.
Little if any rain yesterday evening, not aware of any in the night. The patio looked more or less clear at 0530, in the dark. But then there was some more rain and by 0800, in the light, the patio was flooded again, although not to the same depth as yesterday.
No further change to technique and shovelled the water down to islands in about half an hour, after which, although the rain had stopped, plenty of water was still coming down the path onto the patio. Probably need doing again in an hour or so.
Great tits and blue tits on the feeder. And now starting to wonder if yesterday's nuthatch was not a great tit in stretch mode, when the belly seems to take on a pinkish tinge.
