First thought was to use the dustpan to fill the galvanised tub and to empty the full tub on the front drive side of the garage. Which worked, but which was rather slow.
Second thought was to use the hose as a siphon, which might have worked had I been able to devise some way of priming it. But I didn't.
Third thought was to use the hose as a barrier and simply to shovel the water into the garage with the dustpan, with the barrier serving to direct it down to the front drive side.
Fourth thought was to weight the barrier down properly and to use the shovel to do the shovelling. Much faster. And with the brick weighted hose making quite a good seal with the cement floor.
