Fake 93

The fake fire in the entrance area of the Langham Hotel in Portland Place, at the top of Regent Street. A place where we have taken the odd beverage and once, I think, a very reasonable and very reasonably priced bar lunch. Taken at a table, with table service.

Rather grander than our own fake fire, but very much the same technology. See reference 1. And, as it happens, the last fake was another fake fire, very much not the same technology. For which see reference 2. Perhaps I should tell the Langham their fake is a tad passé.

PS: note the pile of old-style suitcases, probably brand new and never used, one of several scattered about the place. One is tempted to score them as another fake, but perhaps that is not quite fair.
