Two seater swan

Some years ago we took a ride on one of the fine pedalo swans on the boating lake on Ryde Esplanade, the occasion being our wedding anniversary. So this year, in fact yesterday, we thought we would have another go, selecting the two seater rather than the rather larger four seater on the grounds that the latter might be hard work, particularly given the lack of leg room and the generally one-size-fits-all arrangement of the swans.

A fine sunny day for it and we quickly learned that both swans and geese know when to get out of the way, despite their rather nonchalant appearance.

We also had a fairly small but handsome model schooner, which might be visible if you click to enlarge. By the bank, heading left, more or less half way between the two lots of seagulls. Perfectly clear on this laptop, in the Microsoft Photos application.

I have failed to trace any record of the previous occasion but I have turned up some other pedalos.
