Treed squirrel

Following the report at reference 1, Joey has been caught having another go.

Joey sat at the bottom of the tree, not really paying much attention. Squirrel sat on the top of the tree. Blackbird arriving to offer moral support.

Maybe Joey knows that, in the absence of the fat black cat to watch his back, any attempt to catch the squirrel is doomed to failure.

I don't know how this drama ended, but I do know that half an hour or so later, there was a squirrel extracting feed from our RSPB certified, squirrel proof feeder hanging on the back garden side of our garage. He was having some success, but it was all too much of an effort and he gave up after a while and headed off for easier pickings down the bottom of the garden.

PS: 'down the bottom' sounds better than 'up the bottom', despite the fact that the bottom of the garden is also the highest point of the garden.
