Trolley 309

Four rather wet trolleys from the M&S food hall, first spotted on Station Approach late yesterday afternoon, still there this morning.

Left on this occasion in the recessed space in front of the shop for them to dry, thinking that four wet trolleys would not be welcome in the rather cramped stack area on the other side of the shop.

PS 1: I have submitted a proposal to the rules committee for multiple trolleys, presently scoring as one regardless, to be scored as the square root of the number of trolleys, which in this case would have given a score of 2. Recognition of the extra work involved in wheeling them - with four, on this occasion, with a fair number of ramps and slopes between capture and deposit, causing a fair amount of bother.

PS 2: a very impressive amount of hole has been dug since yesterday afternoon on the hill side of the West Street bridge over the railway, following what I am told is a burst water main. Road likely to be closed for some days - no doubt causing much congestion on the other side of town.
