Blue custard

Trying to explain that blue custard was really a pretty stupid idea.

I think that this was more a simple preference for yellow custard rather than anything more complicated - that she had not, for instance, got around to reading the rather ancient best-before-date on the top of the little bottle. Ancient but effective, with a few drops of the stuff turning the small amount of custard in the egg cup a startling shade of blue.
