Piano 29

Piano 29 was snapped in the relatively new church of St. John the Baptist, consecrated in 1893, in Horrabridge, south west of Dartmoor proper. A church which replaced a couple of cottages which had themselves replaced a chapel dating from the 13th century, at the time of the dissolution.

An Atlas upright piano from Japan, from the people at reference 1. People who got going in 1943, but presumably this piano is of a rather later date.

Reference 1: http://www.atlas-piano.com/our-story/. 'ATLAS, being depicted as a symbol of strength in ancient Greek mythology, carries on a mission to support music lovers all over the world, and as ATLAS brand master Nishimura Wu of the National University of Music in Japan once commented: “Small but we share to the world!” This is the inner spirit of the Atlas Piano until today'.
