Save the planet

The teachers' pensions' people, like a lot of the utilities, do not seem to have heard of save the planet.

But they have heard of going online and not having to send you paper through the post any more. And what they do instead is to send you pdf files over the wire to print at home, which take up lots of paper and have been cunningly designed to burn up lots of toner. Not to mention all the Internet resources, invisible, but no free lunch. Someone, somewhere has to pay - but not the teachers' pensions' people.

So this morning, it being that time of year, I print off BH's P60. It does not occur to me that it is not just the useful page I am looking at, rather that plus three unnecessary pages containing a fair number of toner-expensive coloured blocks. Much irritation.
