First fruits

From the bridge over the stream, near the large eucalyptus tree, near the northern junction of Manor Green Road and Christchurch Mount. A stream which joins that running down Longmead Road and which eventually joins the Hogsmill.

Not as many as I had thought when I passed them earlier in the day, but worth getting the bicycle out for. Now handed over to BH and we will see what becomes of them. Fresh or frozen?

While the ones noticed at reference 1, near two weeks ago, did not seem to have come on very much this morning. Not worth a trip there quite yet.

PS: some time later: frozen. With the freezer bag telling us that provided one makes a few holes with a fork, one can microwave the frozen contents in the bag. A whole new meaning to that well known phrase from the world of catering, 'boil in the bag'.
