Fake 78

One is used to seeing fake books filling fake bookshelves in stately homes, but fake books in a leather goods shop was a first for us.

Snapped this afternoon in Union Street in Ryde.

We spent the journey home speculating what sort of person would want a bag decorated in this way and the second best we could come up with was a lady librarian who thought it would be cool to advertise her profession on the bag she used to hold her laptop. The first best was a lady secondary school teacher of literature who thought that the bag would be a good springboard for a classroom discussion of the great works. Perhaps for a little extra she could choose her own books?
