Trolley 393

Two M&S food hall trolleys gathered up in the Ashmore passage and returned to the food hall. As it happened there was a convenient spot next to the stack to park them while they dried.

Only three or four regular trolleys left in the stack, although the shop did not seem particularly busy. And town, in the rain of Dennis the storm, was quiet.

On the way, I had passed an impressive puddle in Fair Green, the first time I have seen one there for a while. A rather more modest puddle under the West Street rail bridge - a place which used to get very impressive puddles until they did something serious with the drain there.

The Thames Water tanker still at the top of Hook Road. Presumably it has to pump a bit harder with all the extra waste water to deal with. No further sign of Cappagh, whom I had seen there earlier in the week - and whom I thought I had noticed, but it seems not. Perhaps they were just taking a look, rather than making a start.

Stream down Longmead Road running well, but around a foot short of bursting its banks and a metre short of the road. Perhaps they have cleaned it out since it last flooded.

Didn't notice the travellers noticed at reference 2, but then I didn't look out for them either.
