A bake-off challenge

Our contestants are asked to replicate the contents of a tin of Heinz baked beans. Points are given for replication, not for edibility or quality, these last not being the point.

They are given a supply of appropriate dried beans.

They are given access to a kitchen cupboard full of all sorts of other stuff that might be needed.

They are not given a recipe, but they are given 24 hours.

My understanding is that this would be quite difficult if you have never done it before.

PS: a post triggered by remembering the observation of the original Mr. Heinz that few housewives could be bothered with the care he put into his recipes. Care which paid in a factory, but which did not pay in a home.
