Une trouvaille from somewhere along Ewell by-pass, just sat on the edge of the busy road. The judgement was that no-one was going to come back for it, despite Bing suggesting that a substantial dog reel of this sort might cost £20 new. With this one being substantial, in full working order, but some way off new.
Possibly something to amuse small children with, possibly something to give to a dog owning friend.
Despite the seeming break in the weather, getting uncomfortably warm by the time I got back to the house around 1030. I almost stopped to take a little water in.
PS 1: and this from around 1530 Thursday. More or less continuous thunder, some flashes of lightening but with very little rain since the shower a couple of hours ago. Very humid.
PS 2: 1540: maybe the rain has now kicked in.
