Following all the bad news from the covid front, I decided to suspend trips to London for the time being. Having decent cheese might be important, but visiting the shop is not essential given that the Neal's Yard people provide a good mail order service. Particularly now that the apple season is more or less over. So I shall do my bit by abstaining.
Pleased to find that some time in the middle of the week I was able to order cheese for delivery on the Friday, which was not an option when all this kicked off, back in the spring, when the lead time was a couple of weeks. And so it turned out to be, turning up mid morning on Friday. With the slight variation of upping the order from 1,000 grams to 1,250 grams to get free delivery. Lincolnshire Poacher seems to keep pretty well, so the extra will not be a problem. I might even share with BH - who generally prefers her own.
We will see how long the blob lasts.
PS: a pity to be destroying the freezer bag, but having already put a couple on top of a kitchen cupboard, we don't know what to do with those following.
