Catastophe one

In a post earlier today, I worried about the pale colour of the leaves. This afternoon, quite by chance, I found out what the problem was: the container, not having any holes in the bottom, was completely waterlogged. Full to the brim. Annoying that I had not noticed such a thing before.

Here shown tipped up on a brick, being drained. Must have drawn off a pint or so all told.

As it happens, this was more or less the same accident as happened to its parent, a few years ago now; the result of being left outside with the other pot plants while we were in the Isle of Wight.
