Frost

Sharpest frost for a while last night, Tuesday-Wednesday. For once it got into the leylandii left and it is still there getting on for two hours after this scene was snapped at around 0630.

The yellow spots to the left of the base of the split oak tree (to see them, click on the snap to enlarge it) are clumps of primrose, slowly spreading through the garden. Very pretty they are too at this time of year.

One trap of the three sprung last night, no sign of mouse, dead or alive. How likely is it that the trap sprang spontaneously? Was the mistake using soft factory bread, rather than hardened crusts of home bake?
