Your train is due to arrive shortly

15 months or so down the track, the express pre-fab from Germany looks as if it is nearly finished - and the new front wall has done a lot to soften the impact of this large and striking house. As no doubt will some more plants in the front garden and a bit of wear and tear.

Worth something in excess of £1.5m? In which case it would be a fair return on the £500,000 or so to buy the house that was there before plus the £500,000 to build the new one. Knocking down the old one being thrown in for free.

Will someone nearby go for building another one?

The white house in the middle being the old one. As it happens, a house which was both large and ugly. With a large plot. Perhaps ninety years old when it was demolished. Wasteful perhaps, but no great loss.

On the way there, we came across this fine display of autumn fungi in a front verge. With the Salvia 'Hot Lips' behind, the shrub with little red and white flowers, being all the rage in this part of Epsom this year. All over the place. Even the Blenheim has them, as noticed at reference 2. BH is nurturing cuttings, some permissive, some opportunistic.
