Public art

Town councillors seem to fall for some pretty dire public art projects, and I had thought this one pretty dire, formerly in various locations in Ebbisham Square, by the library.

But I thought yesterday morning that it looked much better in its new location in the refurbished market square. The space and sky seem to suit it. Appropriately, outside Wetherspoon's, so on race days the punters will be able to gather on the smart new smoking terrace to take it in before proceeding up the hill to see the real thing.
