Long Grove Park

Today on the Long Grove Park clockwise, for the first time in a while, aka South Field Park, presumably to get away from the association with the mental hospital which used to be just over the fence.

A few people out walking dogs, a few more out exercising children and a gaggle of boys or youths in the skate park. Not clear to me that one should or could stop that sort of thing. Otherwise, plenty of room for social distancing.

Cold north east wind coming down through the park, cold enough that I would not have been uncomfortable in my full-on winter jacket from Animal, last worn for the outing to Guildford noticed at reference 1.

No tweets.

No trolleys.

At around 1100, back in Manor Green Road, queues of about eight outside Costcutter and about four outside the butcher, with both operating on a one out one in basis. Which suggests that both still have stock - so perhaps we are calming down after a torrid week.

Home to open a letter from my dentist - the practice in Waterloo Road near the walnut shop - offering help with shopping and such like for those in difficulties. Very decent of them.

I offer a snap taken up through a pair of closely planted cypress trees. Surprisingly hard to find on gmaps aerial view, but my best guess is the blob at 51.341964, -0.281946. On which key one can search gmaps.
