Dundee cake

The last two cubic inches of the Dundee cake last noticed at reference 1 vanished in the margins of this afternoon's tea.

My verdict remains that it was a bit dark and a bit overcooked compared with last time, although BH had kind words. She also had words about washing the glacé cherries before use, which I am not sure about at all.

My lesson learned is that I would do well next time to read with more care both the recipe and the reports of what happened this time around.
