Scavenger

This recovery truck has taken to parking up outside the Ford showroom in Blenheim Road. Cab curtains drawn mid to late morning, when I tend to pass it.

The drill seems to be that the Cedars Assist people have such trucks dotted about their sector of the M25, ready to dive in and recover trucks that break down or get stranded there, for one reason or another.

I associate to the people at Smit who place similarly serious looking, ocean going tugs out in the Western Approaches, ready to offer assistance to ships that break down or otherwise run into trouble on the run into Europe. I think that the salvage fee used to be 10% of value, but maybe it is more negotiable these days.
