Heavy lifting

Back in April I noticed at reference 1 the recovery vehicle which had taken up residence in Blenheim Road, where it stayed for some months. It might still be resident there although it was absent yesterday and I don't recall when I last saw it.

However, yesterday we had a break down less than a hundred yards from its pitch - but what looked like a brand new recovery vehicle from a rival operator had turned up to deal with it.

I noticed that having levered up the front of the cab of the broken vehicle with his hydraulic tow bar, probably a relative of the one to be seen at reference 1, the recovery man was happy to lie under said cab while he chained the front wheels onto said tow bar. I thought it best not to take a closer look, but I could not see any supporting blocks.

Eventually I worked out that the logo above the cab was 'J&A', which led me to reference 2. Heavy recovery is quite different: reference 3 might be the name of their website, but 'Boleyn Recovery and Fleet Services' is the name of the company. With Heathrow recovery being similarly misleading.
