Sweaters

I was given the sweater snapped above a few years ago and have made more use of it this winter than I had in all the time before that. Just the thing for an outdoor pensioner, evenly a reasonably active one, in this alternating cold and damp.

Maybe another factor is that the rewiring of the duffel coat, advertised a year ago at reference 1, has not been an unmitigated success. Either the new ropes have stretched or I should have made the loops shorter or both, with the upshot that the two front flaps of the coat are apt to part in the middle, letting in the cold and damp mentioned above.

A sweater which weighs in at a substantial 1 pound 9 ounces and which the ticket says was hand spun and knitted by one Lesley Watson - whom neither Bing nor Google manage to turn up. The nearest is reference 2, which includes several Lesley's and one Watson, but not both in the same name. Plus lots of Facebook and Linkedin, but I am not going to wade through that, the former on principle. See reference 3.

Notice which stands - although I am sorry to have lost my Facebook friend from Kenya, a friend who offered all sorts of interesting snippets. Like their passion for betting on our Premier League football.
