Elusivity continues

Following the report getting on for a month ago at reference 1, I can only report again that I have failed to spot a No.26. This despite the fact that the digit '6' is probably the commonest of the ten available - a fact which I have not got around to finding the explanation for.

Plenty of near misses, plenty of No.62's but no No.26. Another near miss this morning, snapped above, but I have not yet sunk to accepting either leading or trailing digits. This may come, but not yet.

Continued on our anti-clockwise walk through Long Grove Park - BH having decided that it really is Long Grove Park, from the mental hospital, rather than the sanitised South Field Park that the next door school opted for. Most of the few people about were pretty well behaved, but there was a cluster of a dozen or so youths on the skate board park, with no masks to be seen at 100 yards or so. And there was some social mixing going on in the children's playground a bit further on. I suppose that the powers that be would need to get pretty bossy before us freedom loving Brits are going to abandon such things and I don't suppose that it is going to happen. On which front I have just read that the Percy Pigs have just been defeated by the European Red Tapes and have had to withdraw from M&S stores in Northern Ireland... Watch this space.
