The flats on the edge of Court Recreation Ground, first noticed over a year ago (see reference 1) are now coming on; not your usual, run of the mill flats at all, so presumably expensive and one wonders what sort of deal the developer (Zestan) cut with the council over provision of affordable housing.
Another part of the story is that a good chunk of the development has been bought by a Russian oligarch who is quite happy for the Poles working there to live in for the duration. Which one might have thought would not incentivise them to get the work finished.

One supposes that part of the deal was giving the northern chunk of the site over to grass, as snapped above. Giving a good view over the recreation ground and its mature trees from the flats at that end and softening the impact of the flats from said recreation ground. Plenty of moaning from concerned residents, nonetheless.
And not because they are concerned about the lack of affordable provision. That can go elsewhere, perhaps to the Nork estate. Colloquially the Porkers.
