Saint Tony

A twitterer

Following the post at reference 1, a correspondent in the northernmost reaches of Surrey has pointed me at Past Master Blair's twitter account, from which I learn that he has indeed taken to the medium like a duck to water. Also that his 200 strong team is entirely focussed on dealing with COVID and the collateral damage arising from the measures needed to so deal with it. It is not clear whether all this is being done without charge.

But it is clear that the team includes people well versed in the techniques of producing glossy video clips, well beyond the reach of the twitterer in the street, so as to speak.

Furthermore, the saintly image is a bit tiresome when one remembers his various mistakes and worse when in power and his love of money when out of it. But I suppose, to be fair, it is inevitable that the sort of regimes which might actually benefit from his advice - I had thought central Asian, the various 'starns' and 'stans', but it now looks to be more African - are going to be rather unsavoury. Saints must not be afraid to get their hands dirty.
