Our pyracanthus

There is a pyracanthus bush to be seen in our left hand hedge, as when looking out of the study window, for some weeks looking as if was about to burst into florid delight. But for some reason it has gone off at half-cock, and is now going over without ever having come fully out. The BH theory is that it did not get enough water at some crucial point - which I am doubtful about, without being able to offer any rival theory of my own. Maybe some summer pruning is indicated, although I rather like the fronds sticking up all over the place. Maybe it will do better next year of its own accord.

Snapped from ground level.
