Piano 33, a slightly shabby looking Broadwood grand, captured in the church of St. Nicholas at Guildford. Just by the river, a church which appears to have a double life, being both a church and an arts centre. Of which more in due course.
Seemingly the first Broadwood since piano 1, first noticed a bit more than a year ago at reference 2. But the Broadwood people themselves were noticed at reference 1.
While I am reminded at reference 3 that the firm is one of the oldest piano builders still in business, with a Broadwood having been in this one for more than two hundred years, only dropping out ten years ago or so. And with their 'by appointment' going back to George II - who might have been forgiven for bringing over a Hanoverian piano. While during the first world war, the piano factory was turned over to aeroplane manufacture. In which all sorts of new uses for piano wire were found.
